BCRP Sofia Boavida, MSc
Sofia Boavida, MSc, is a clinical exercise physiologist at the Champalimaud Foundation, where she has served since October 2024. She holds a Master’s degree in Exercise and Health, completed through a collaboration between the Faculty of Human Kinetics and the Champalimaud Foundation. Her master’s research focused on preliminary findings from the NEO program, exploring the effects of aerobic and resistance exercise on tumor biology in women newly diagnosed with breast cancer undergoing neoadjuvant therapy. Sofia was part of the organizing committee for Moving Beyond, the first national and international exercise oncology conference held in April 2025. She is currently coordinating a research project investigating the effects of exercise on sleep and circadian disruption in breast cancer patients receiving hormone therapy.
