Rodrigo Costa
Rodrigo Costa is a Master’s student in Biomedical Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, and has been conducting his thesis work at the Champalimaud Foundation since 2024.
His research focuses on the application of denoising diffusion models to medical imaging, particularly to diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DWI). The goal is to explore how state-of-the-art generative models can reduce noise in medical scans, thereby accelerating the time of the exams, while maintaining diagnostic accuracy and clinical utility.
