BCRP Mariana Lameiro
Mariana Lameiro is a master's student at the Faculty of Human Kinetics, University of Lisbon and has been at the Champalimaud Foundation since 2024. Her thesis focuses on investigating the impact of physical exercise on reducing the adverse effects of chemotherapy in women newly diagnosed with breast cancer undergoing neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NEO-Program). The study aims to explore how regular exercise may improve treatment tolerance and enhance patients' quality of life. Adverse events are documented through medical reports and classified according to the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE), with specific grading scales applied to each event.
