Mafalda Pereira is pursuing her Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico, where she also completed her Bachelor’s degree in the same field. Since September 2025, she has been conducting her master’s thesis in collaboration with the Champalimaud Foundation, focusing on measuring naps and sleep quality among women with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy. Prior to this, Mafalda carried out research at the Institute of Biophysics and Biomedical Engineering (IBEB), where she contributed to the development and testing of a novel breast cancer detection imaging technique.
