BCRP Laura Brown, MD, MPH
Laura Brown is a public health, family medicine, and addiction medicine physician who is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico Center for Alcohol, Substance Use, and Addictions. She conducted mixed-methods research with people experiencing homelessness and community service providers in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2023 leading to journal publication in 2024. Laura is passionate about community advocacy, harm reduction, street medicine, and social justice and is excited to bring her professional training and community experience to Champalimaud patient-centered breast cancer research. Her hobbies include walking, hiking, and swimming in the ocean whenever possible.
