João Duarte, Ph.D., is a Biomedical Engineering with a PhD in Health Sciences-Biomedical Sciences. He is a researcher in the Neuropsychiatry Unit at the Champalimaud Foundation, with extensive experience in MRI techniques applied to both cognitive and clinical neuroscience.

He is particularly interested in multimodal approaches to investigate brain structural and functional alterations in neurological and psychiatric diseases, namely in investigating depression-related brain imaging biomarkers in cancer survivors.
