Diana Lamy is a Master’s student in Applied Mathematics and Computation at Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon. She has been affiliated with Champalimaud Foundation’s Digital Surgery Lab since September 2025.
Her thesis investigates the integration of patient-specific digital twins within the surgical environment, focusing on the alignment of virtual models to the patient’s anatomy during operative procedures. Diana's work explores computer vision and feature-matching techniques to achieve accurate and real-time registration of anatomical structures. This research aims to enhance intraoperative navigation and decision-making, ultimately contributing to safer and more precise surgical interventions.
