BCRP Camila Trincheiras
Camila Trincheiras is a master’s student in Biophysics and Biomedical Engineering at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. Her academic work focuses on biomedical engineering approaches to image-guided surgery, with particular interest in augmented reality applications for oncological procedures. She is currently conducting her master’s thesis at the Digital Surgery Lab of the Champalimaud Foundation. Prior to her thesis work, she completed a research internship at the same laboratory, where she contributed to the development of augmented reality interfaces for breast cancer surgery. Her current research focuses on performance evaluation and training strategies for augmented reality systems, aiming to improve spatial accuracy, depth perception, and the reliability of AR-guided surgical workflows.
