Berta Sousa, MD., is a medical oncologist and clinical researcher at the Breast Unit of the Champalimaud Foundation, where she has worked since 2012. She completed her medical degree at the University of Porto and residency in Medical Oncology at the Portuguese Institute of Oncology in Porto. In 2011, she earned a Master’s in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Care Research from the University of Toronto and completed a Clinical and Research Fellowship at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Canada.

She is currently a PhD candidate in Clinical and Health Services Research at the University of Porto. She is board certified in Medical Oncology and a member of ESMO, SPO, EORTC, SOLTI, and SIOG, and a Flims Alumni.
