Matilde Andrade

Matilde Andrade, is a Master’s student in Biomedical Engineering at Nova School of Science and Technology and has been at Champalimaud Foundation’s Digital Surgery LAB since 2024. Her thesis is focused on optimizing preoperative planning for breast reconstruction surgeries, leveraging machine learning and computer vision techniques to improve automatic segmentation of relevant anatomical structures in CT scans.

By integrating deep learning into image analysis, her research aims to enhance anatomical interpretation and support more accurate, efficient, and personalized surgical planning.
